SUBSTANCE: proposed sealer incorporates a base flange, a hollow mouth and a removable member located inside the mouth base. Note also that the proposed sealer incorporates an upper cap to double sealing the mouth and a barrier foil coated on both sides with a plastic layer and running over along the base flange surface. Note that the said foil is coated with aluminium and features an open cut out aluminium edge to allow jointing to the sealer. Note also that foil edge is jointed to the flange so that, in use, there is no contact between the cut aluminium edge and the container contents. Mind that the sealer is jointed to the container so that the base flange is inside the container.
EFFECT: ease of opening, manufacture and use, along with a continuous barrier layer between container and sealer mouth.
