FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns technology of obtaining chlorinated polymers and copolymers of olefin hydrocarbons. Polymers and copolymers of olefin hydrocarbons are chlorinated in hexachloroacetone medium in the presence of initiation agent. Sedimentation is performed by adding aliphatic hydrocarbon to reaction mix. After product separation from reaction mix by decantation or filtration the product is flushed with sedimentation agent and processed by water during intensive stirring at 20-100°C. The products are widely applied in production of chemical and weather resistant polishes, enamels, glues, films, electric insulation materials, as shock resistance modifier for PBC based materials, especially in rubber and tyre industry.

EFFECT: removal residual hexachloroacetone from product and elimination of product particle adhesion, thus obtaining product in convenient applicable form (powder or small granules).
