FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to the mining industry, and to equipment for sealing entries of oil and gas wells when conducting operations, related to rotating a kelly bar and a drill stem using a rotor. The device has a hollow cylindrical case with a cover, inside of which there is a circular self-sealing cuff with a through-opening and an axial bearing over it, a plain journal bearing unit, a sleeve for the sealer, a sleeve for the kelly bar and a centraliser, the diameter of the through-opening of which is less than the diameter of the through-opening in the sleeve of the sealer. The sleeve of the kelly bar and the sleeve of the sealer are interconnected. The axial bearing is made from anti-friction material in form of a friction bearing and is fitted between the cover and sleeve of the sealer. The self-sealing cuff has size and shape, allowing for letting box connectors of pipes through it. The plain journal bearing unit is made from wear-resistant material in form of one or more split rings and a sealing ring, fitted under the upper split ring, which, for interaction with it, has a base, mitered at an angle to the axis of the sealer.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and simplification of the design of the sealer.
