FIELD: physics; measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns field of measuring of velocities of fluid mediums and can be used for operative measuring of velocity of a gas stream. Spatially carry in a direction of a stream of gas heat-generating and following for its heat-sensitive devices. Heat up a fuel element in a pulsing or pulse-frequency mode. In the course of passage of a stream of gas consistently register impulses of a voltage with heated fuel element and from a temperature bulb. Measure time interval between fronts of the registered impulses and determine velocity of a stream with the account of the measured interval. The device for definition of velocity of a gas stream contains a fuel element connected to a cell and a temperature bulb, the recordings joined to system. The temperature bulb forming with a fuel element the data unit with function of a sensor control of velocity, represents at least one block consisting of not less than two consistently joined thermoelectric couples. Thus the fuel element is connected to a pulsing or pulse-frequency cell.
EFFECT: increase of accuracy of definition of velocity of a stream, expansion of functionality.
