FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: seed planter consists of frame with mounting mechanism. A wedge-shaped earth leveler, a furrower-roller with circular flanges, a seed hopper with seed planting devices, seed spouts, a covering mechanism and a covering roller are successively arranged on the frame. The furrower-roller is equipped with additional circular flanges assembled on both sides of furrow forming flanges at the distance of half of their width. Radius of furrow forming flanges is bigger, than diameter of additional flanges at the depth of seed planting. The covering mechanism is made in form of skies successively installed behind each additional flange and following its track. The skies consist of rigidly connected between them a sole and two vertical plates. One end of the sole has a width equal to the width of the additional flange and is bent upwards. The other end of the sole has symmetrically extending inclined pointed and growing edges. The width of another end is equal to the distance between facets of furrow forming flanges. The vertical plates are bent-shaped; from the beginning of the bent part of the sole to the end of the pointed edge they are set parallel to symmetry axis. The bent part of the plates is directed to the furrow making flanges at the angle identical to the tilt angle of cutting edges of the sole.

EFFECT: upgraded accuracy of seed planting depth and upgraded quality of seed covering.
