FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: seed planter contains frame with mounting mechanism. On the frame there are successively arranged a ridge leveler in form of a bulldozer shovel, a cylinder ridge forming roller, a seed hopper with seeding facilities, a seed spout, a covering mechanism and a compacting roller. The ridge forming roller is made with a circular flange, the height of which exceeds maximum depth of seed covering. The covering mechanism is made in form of the additional bulldozer wedge-shaped shovel with the width of cut not less, than the width of a planting belt and the angle of wedge at the top of 120° ... 150°. The space between the plane of the cutting edges of knives of the additional bulldozer shovel and the plane passing through lower points of the circular flanges is equal to the optimal depth of seed covering.

EFFECT: upgraded quality of seed planting at simplified design of seed planter.
