FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transportation, in particular, to means of increasing the factor of adhesion between the wheels and rails, representing the devices for pulsed feed of sand under locomotive wheels. The proposed device contains the wheels spin pickup, sand nozzle, outlet branch pipes connected with the nozzles directed to the wheel-to-rail contact zones. The first inlet branch pipe is connected to the sand bin, its second inlet branch pipe is connected to the locomotive pneumatic circuit by means of the electro pneumatic valve with its electric coil connected to power supplies of locomotive control circuits with the help of a gate element with its input connected to the pulse generator output. The said generator cut-in/cut-out inputs are connected to the output of excessive wheels spin pickup and the operator control panel. The proposed device includes additionally the locomotive speed pickup with its output connected to the input of the unit controlling the factor of filling of a pulsed cycle of the generator of impulses controlling the gate element. The locomotive speed pickup represents the pickup of electric voltage at the traction motor armature winding voltage, the said motor shaft being connected to appropriate wheel pair of the locomotive running gear.

EFFECT: higher adhesion factor, reduced consumption of sand.
