FIELD: railway transport technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of railway transport technology, in particular to systems for protection against boxing and skidding by automatically supplying sand under the wheels of a locomotive. To eliminate boxing or skidding at the current unknown properties of adhesion of the locomotive wheel to the rail, the method for adaptive control of automatic sand supply under the locomotive wheels is used. It uses information about the linear speed of movement, the angular speed of the wheelset, measured by the regular sensors of the locomotive. In addition, it additionally uses information about the continuous angular velocity of the wheelset sliding and its acceleration, which are either calculated or formed by specialized sensors. The algorithm is based on a control scheme that includes a current parametric identification algorithm that delivers unknown parameters of a linearized model of the wheelset dynamics during sliding, an implicit reference model with assigned or determined parameters, and is also based on “simplified” adaptability conditions.
EFFECT: in the presence of only approximate initial information about the parameters of the locomotive, a more economical use of sand is ensured to eliminate boxing and skidding.
