FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to directional drilling equipment for oil and gas wells and is designed to transmit signals in the drilling process from the electronic unit (EU) of the downhole tool to the electric separator (ES) of the telemetry system with an electromagnetic channel for communication with ground equipment. System includes a generator and a fastening device located inside the housing. The housing contains a bottom cover EU including a radiator and chassis with inclinometer sensors and electronics installed thereon. The EU is installed on the upper and lower cross members so that there is an annular gap formed to let drilling mud pass inside the external ES. The EU housing is also the internal ES. The upper and lower cross members serve as electrical conductors transmitting signals to the external ES. The chassis is separated from the radiator by means of an insulator. The radiator is one pole of the dipole and a conducting ring installed on the chassis side before the insulator is the other pole. The conducting ring is split and consists of at least two segments with a cone hole on the centre and at least one groove on the outside with an elastic ring located therein to tie up the segments on the cone insert between the insulator and chassis with the smaller cone base oriented towards the chassis. The conducting ring is mounted on the cone insert so that it can be moved axially and is pressed through the chassis and pusher by a screw in the EU bottom cover.
EFFECT: more accurate azimuthal angle measurement as a result of a smaller effect on the magnetometer that measures electromagnetic field caused by signals transmitted from the EU to the ES, as well as a more reliable connection with the electronic equipment.
