FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: rotary tiller consists of a carriage frame, a vertical shaft reduction gear with an elastic surface rim and a bladed rotor attached onto it. The rotor is represented by a pair of spring-interconnected segments each containing a magnetostrictive radiator connected to the vibration source. The magnetostrictive radiator is fabricated of an iron-cobalt alloy with a maximum magnetostrictive saturation value of 90-10-6. The vibration source is represented by a magnetic pulse installation supporting generation of vibrations with a maximum frequency of 40 kHz and minimum amplitude of 0.5-10-3 m.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of tillage combined with improved energy efficiency.
