FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to mining, particularly to supports for medium sized mining faces of steeply inclined layers when extracting coal in bands going down. The set of supports has a first, linear and end in-line units. The section of the supports has a flank and opposite lateral, as well as bottom hole and goaf sides. It also has a base, canopy, four hydraulic struts, fitted in pairs on the bottom hole and goaf sides, four supports, the height of which is not less than the minimum size of the hydraulic struts, fitted in a similar way, a shield on the side of the goaf and a side shield on the flank. In the space between the pairs of hydraulic struts and the support, there is a staircase, rising from the bottom hole of the section to the side of the goaf and from the flank to the opposite side. Each section of the support, except the first, is structurally linked to an extraction-and-loading machine, which is made in form of an oscillating horizontal auger, with a cutting tool. In the inner cavity of the auger, there is an actuator, providing for rotation of the auger. The direction of rotation and winding of its bearing rib provides for movement of loose coal to the flank of the support unit. At the end sections on the side of the goaf, there is an opening which provides for an emergency exit from under the support. There can be two or more end sections. On one of them, fitted near the first, the side shield can be extended on the side of the goaf by a length, equal to the advance increment, and is fitted on the flank. On the latter, a similar shield is fitted on the opposite side.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of holding the mining face and wider field of application of the support.
