FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to optical communication equipment, is intended for cutting, chipping of optic fiber end sections and may be used for technological treatment of fiber light guide of laser emitters, in particular, of medical purpose. Device comprises the following components mounted on base: axial guide with clamping mechanism, compass knife and spindle. Clamping mechanism is arranged in the form of collet, compass knife in the form of disk is mounted with the possibility of relative transverse displacement in spindle equipped with adjustment prop with basing end bushing. Axis of disk knife is installed in slider equipped with lead screw, nut of which is matched with guide bush, which is normally fixed in spindle.

EFFECT: generation of cutting plane of light guide surface, which is perpendicular to its longitudinal axis, to produce chip end of correct circle shape required for emission without distortions, with minimisation of fiber wastes.
