FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture and, particularly, poultry farming. The method includes maintenance of breeder from the 17-week old age up to the end of life time under cage conditions and three-phase lighting mode. The first phase - from 5 to 6 hours, the second is from 8 to 12 hours and the third one is from 13 to 17 hours of feeding. Lighting and feeding are performed simultaneously. The amount of feedstuff to be given to breeders is reduced by 15% from the total amount given to breeders when they fed ad libitum during the whole keeping period.
EFFECT: improved quality of sperm production and reduced consumption of the feed stuff.
