INSTALLATION OF PURIFYING OIL FROM HYDROGEN SULPHIDE AND MERCAPTANS (VERSIONS) Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC B01D19/00 

FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to installations for field purifying sulphur-bearing crude form hydrogen suphide and light mercaptans. Prepared oil is supplied into the upper part of the purging column, while non-sulphurous hydrocarbon gas is supplied into lower part. Oil partially cleaned from hydrogen sulphide flows into a separator from a column cube via a mixing device. Estimated amount of reagent is supplied into oil flow before the mixer by means of a dozing pump; this reagent neutralises residual amounts of hydrogen suphide and light mercaptans. Reaction mixture flows from the separator to the first buffer capacity. After filling the capacity reaction mixture is supplied from the separator into the second buffer capacity parallel connected; also the filled capacity is subject to holding during not less, than 2 hours to complete neutralisation reaction and to settle emulsion water containing water soluble products of neutralisation. According to another version of the installation the mixing device is installed after the separator connected by bypass pipelines with pipelines supplying sulphur bearing crude and hydrocarbon gas.

EFFECT: reduced pressure of saturated fumes, water contents, and chloride salts in separator oil and in reduced losses of oil at purifying.
