FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to process of foam concentration of poly-metallic and other types of zinc containing sulphide ores and can be implemented in mining industry. According to version 1 the method consists in mixing collective sulphide zinc containing concentrate with water with successive forming a pulp, this pulp is processed electro-chemically, then a collector and foam generator are introduced, and zinc sulphides are extracted into a chamber product. Also electro-chemical treatment of pulp is carried out with using zinc electrodes at current density of 0.3÷0.7 A/dm2 and duration of treatment till consumption of zinc reaches amount of 20÷30 g/t in terms of zinc sulphate with generation of ε-modification of zinc oxy-hydrate. According to version 2 of the method electro-chemical treatment of water used for pulp preparation is carried out under the same modes.

EFFECT: upgraded efficiency of flotation due to its increased intensity with raised extraction of metals into separate products; also due to avoiding depressors usage contents of salt is reduced in process and drain water.
