FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns foundry engineering field. Method includes mounting of bearing brass, its heating, babbiting and plastic deformation of antifrictional layer by deforming tool. Insert is installed on end surface. Deforming tool is brought to insert with spacing formation between them, equal to h+Δ, where h - thickness of antifrictional layer, Δ - trip of deforming tool during plastic deformation of antifrictional layer. Babbit is run to formed spacing.
EFFECT: it is achieved labour-intensiveness reduction at receiving of bearing antifrictional layer.
