FIELD: engines and pumps; electricity.
SUBSTANCE: method for formation of wind-powered engine consists in the fact that wind-powered engine vanes are arranged with varied geometry relative to wind pressure on both sides of windwheel rotary axis and torque is provided due to change of aerodynamic resistance, at that vanes of one side of windwheel are located parallel to plane of its rotation with minimum aerodynamic resistance, and vanes of the other side of windwheel are at the same moment located perpendicular to the plane of its rotation with maximum aerodynamic resistance creating highest torque relative to rotary axis of windwheel, and provide turn of windwheel vanes by 90° whenever vanes change from one side of windwheel relative to its rotary axis to the other side by vanes reversing device, which is equipped by tracking device, such as feather vane, for instance, which orients it relative to wind flow, and is arranged in the form of drum with guides, with which finger cams interact, being fixed on shafts of rigid vanes, at that drum is rigidly fixed to shaft installed in bearings inside hollow shaft that transmits torque.
EFFECT: improved technical characteristics of wind power generating sets.
