FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wind power engineering, particularly to wind electric generators with vertical rotational axis. Windmill comprises post and main crossarms revolving about vertical axis, crossarms being furnished with fixed concave wind take-up surfaces. It comprises additionally auxiliary crossarms fitted above the main ones and frames with concave wind take-up surfaces on their lower sides. Aforesaid frames upper side is fitted in rotary hinge arranged on aforesaid auxiliary crossarms to allow their vertical posts to rest upon main crossarms. Positive effect results from simultaneous reaching of aerodynamic shape in head-on airflow by wind take-up elements of lower row and main elements, thus increasing harmful aerodynamic drag.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
