FIELD: mechanics.

SUBSTANCE: in compliance with the proposed method, thread undercut as far as to part flange tolerance and screw-on torque are specified, go gauge is screwed on in controlling screw-on torque. The preset tolerance for torque reached, screwing on is stopped and the part is rejected. Before that a base plate with a hole is mounted ahead of the thread go gauge and aligned with it to move the plate with the aforesaid gauge and screw on the latter parallel to the thread axis till the base plate rests upon the part flange. Note here that the gap between the base plate and go gauge is verified. On reaching the sum of plate thickness and the gap of preset thread undercut tolerance, screwing on is stopped to acknowledge the part to be fit. The proposed devise comprises the base accommodating reversing drive, tail spindle, tail spindle transfer units, those of transfer, mounting and sorting, tail spindle initial position pickup, shaft with thread ring gauge arranged in the said tail spindle, processing and control unit, torque pickup and tail spindle initial position pickup. The devise includes also a sleeve with the said base plate rigidly attached thereto and furnished with a hole aligned with the shaft axis, gap pickup mounted on the tail spindle to interact with the aforesaid sleeve and pickup of base plate resting.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of controlling thread undercut as far as to part flange.
