FIELD: operations for restoring and strengthening threaded portions of parts, namely built-up members of oil production column.
SUBSTANCE: method for ultrasonic treatment comprises steps of additionally applying to contact zones of threaded portions low-frequency oscillations whose amplitude is in range 0.5 z - 1000 πz where z - value of standard gap for treated thread. Installation includes in addition at least one low frequency oscillation source connected with ultrasonic oscillation system.
EFFECT: increased useful life period of threaded portion of part by wear resistance due to increased total surface area of strengthened zones of thread.
