FIELD: transport, conveyors.
SUBSTANCE: brake block (2) is arranged between belt conveyor load-carrying (4) and idle (5) runs at the points of lapping on and tracking off the end drum (6). The said shoe block is attached to beam (8) oriented parallel to the conveyor belt load-carrying run and radially relative to end drum axle (9). The aforesaid beam is located to allow its lengthwise shift in frame guides (10), the frame being furnished with brackets (12) whereto the shoe block is spring-loaded. The beam free end is linked up, via tie-rod (13) with horizontal hinges (14, 15) arranged on its ends, with bell crank (17) pivoted to the frame to turn in vertical plane. Smaller (18) bell crank arm is coupled with the tie-rod, while its larger arm is jointed with armature (20) of electromagnet (21). The electromagnet housing is pivoted to the frame. When in starting position, the aforesaid smaller arm is oriented perpendicular to the beam, the electromagnet armature axis is oriented perpendicular to the larger arm, while the angle between the bell crank arms is taken to be a right angle. The brake block width is taken to equal that of the end drum cylindrical part.
EFFECT: possibility of mounting proposed brake directly on driving drum and providing for required braking force.
