FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: conveyor is equipped with belt stop comprising braking tape fixed on rotary reel. Reel axis is installed on conveyor frame with the possibility of rotation. Side walls of reel are installed with the possibility of their interaction with cylindrical surface of driving drum and with clearances relative to conveyor belt tight and slack strands coming off driving drum. Reel is provided with jacket, which is fixed in conveyor frame with the help of bracket and cross beam with the possibility for jacket to cover external layer of flexible belt with clearance on reel and its placement with gaps relative to side walls of reel. From the side of driving drum cylindrical surface of jacket is arranged with rectangular cut. Curvilinear guides are fixed to jacket along line of lower edge of rectangular cut with reducing gap relative to driving drum with the possibility of braking belt passage in mentioned gap and its tightening. Braking tape is fixed to reel by means of hinged unit, axis of which is displaced relative to reel surface to the side of its axis.

EFFECT: improved reliability of belt stop operation, increased breaking force, lower tape wear, limited value of belt reverse during its braking.
