FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: running shaft end seal comprises, at least, a pair of O-rings pressed together by draw-in element. One of the O-rings is fitted in casing fixed, while the other one is fitted on shaft to run thereon. The said draw-in element represents a pair of permanent circular magnets isolated from the working medium with their similar poles facing each other and seated in the housing together with the O-ring, or with their unlike poles facing each other and seated in the housing and cover, in case two pairs of O-rings are used.
EFFECT: constant O-ring draw-in force during entire operating life of end seal, higher reliability of seal.
