FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: end seal relates to seals of rotating shafts. Shaft end seal has a thrust ring with pressure spring mounted in body and supporting ring positioned on shaft. End surface of supporting ring is provided with sealing band and pressure section. Circular magnets facing each other with similar poles are arranged in rings. Different poles of circular magnets removed from working end surfaces of rings are closed by magnetic cores. Interaction of circular magnets with their similar poles ensures self-setting of rings and uniform load over the entire contact surface. In this case, occurring resulting gas dynamic force increases force opening the end butt joint. Thrust ring takes some equilibrium position forming optimal sealing assembly along with supporting ring. EFFECT: improved design. 2 dwg
