FIELD: physics, measurement.

SUBSTANCE: magnet-inductive receiver for flow measurement includes metering tube, generator of magnet field having at least two coils, which in measurement mode serve for creation of magnetic field that penetrates the metering tube. Electric circuit connected to coils for monitoring over receiver functioning makes control over magnet field creation possible. In process of control over functioning, at least one of coils serves as generator that creates magnetic field that alternates in time, which penetrates at least the other coil that serves as receiver. Based on received signal induced in receiving coil by means of magnetic field that alternates in time, functioning of flow measurement receiver is monitored.

EFFECT: provision of control even in case conducting medium is not available in metering tube.
