FIELD: physics; communication.

SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to simulation and can be used when designing radio electronic and engineering systems for evaluating operational characteristics. There is numeration of apparatus, communication systems, communication lines, simulation of intended application of apparatus and communication systems, generation of time of occurrence of operational failures and damages to apparatus and communication systems, as well as generation initial time of jamming communication lines. There is further determination of the beginning of the next implementation time, corresponding to the time of operation of the apparatus or communication system. Statistical sampling is carried out of the degree of damage and the number of damages to the apparatus and communication systems, as well as duration of jamming and the number of jammed communication lines. The time spent by the apparatus and communication system in disabled state is recorded, as well as duration of jamming communication lines. Failure and damages to the apparatus and communication systems and jamming communication lines are checked. The number of damaged apparatus and communication systems, as well as the number of jammed communication lines is taken. Operating capacity of apparatus and communication systems and communication lines is checked and the overall time they spent in operational and disabled state is taken. The availability factor is then calculated, and simulation of restoring the apparatus, systems and communication lines is carried out.

EFFECT: widening possibilities of simulating process leading to faults, damages, as well as process of jamming a communication network.
