FIELD: automotive industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to window wipers comprising oscillating brush with elastic triplet. The latter comprises a blade with its wipe surface located on the cleaned surface, base member above the cleaned surface and a spring arranged between the aforesaid base element and the spring arranged between the spring and base element. Proposed method of operation consists in mounting and holding the base member during the triplet motion over the cleaned surface so that its both arms do not fall beyond the limits of brush backlash and stay at equal distance from cleaned surface. With the triplet approaching any brush end position, the base member leading edge is moved from the cleaned surface, while the base member leaving edge comes closer to the cleaned surface. With the triplet driving direction changed, the state of disturbed equidistance of aforesaid triplet edges is maintained till the triplet blade position is changed. Now, the said equidistance position is resumed. In compliance with the second version, equidistance state of leading and leaving triplet edges is set, primarily, in certain triplet intermediate position. On driving the triplet from its intermediate position on cleaned surface towards any of the brush end positions, the leading base member edge is gradually removed from the cleaned surface and the leaving edge is brought nearer to said surface to gradually bring the base member to the position peculiar to the brush end position whereat geometrical axis of the base element symmetry and resumed normal to cleaned surface normal make an angle not exceeding 10°.

EFFECT: better quality of window cleaning.
