FIELD: sewage treatment facilities.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to sewage and may be used for efficient production of biogas from wastes of sewage treatment facilities of settled sludge. Substance of invention consists in production of biogas at anaerobic fermentation of sludge from sewage treatment facilities and chopped phytomass of crimson amaranth as stimulating additive of natural origin that are diluted by water in reactor. Weight ratio of dry raw materials that consist of amaranth and sludge, and water makes 1:(15-20), at that weight ratio of amaranth to sludge makes 1:(2-5).
EFFECT: conversion of settled sludge into biogas with high content of methane.
