FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to waste processing methods, particularly methods of producing biogas from organo-containing wastes. The method involves adding a complex stimulant into the fermented organo-containing wastes, said stimulant containing ground phytomass of red amaranth and aerobically stabilised activated sludge in ratio 1:1 per 2-3 wt %, with subsequent treatment of the obtained mixture with ultrasound at frequency 22 kHz and intensity 6-8 W/cm for 4-8 minutes.
EFFECT: method significantly speeds up the process of methanogenic fermentation, reduces the temperature at which chemical reactions begin and considerably increases output of biogas.
