FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: application: in glass industry for rough grinding of optical glass, and application of available components. Substance: coolant contains water and 0.05-1% of additive being reaction product of 50-70% aqueous solutions of polyethylenepolyamines (PEPA) composed wt %: diethylene triamine 12, triethylene tetramine 52, tetraethylene pentamine 24, pentaethylene hexamine 12, and epichlorhydrin (EPCH) at temperature 40-50°C and mole ratio PEPA:EPCH equal to 1:1.5-2 or PEPA and ethylene oxides or propylene and EPCH in mole ratio PEPA: ethylene oxide or propylene: EPCH = 1:1:1-1.5 at temperature 25-35°C within 2 h, then at temperature 40-50°C within 3-4 h. Technical result is improved abrasion resistance of the tool, lower toxicity and raw-material spread-out.
