METHOD OF CUMULATING ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC IMPACT AND DEVICE FOR ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC DRILLING Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC E21C37/18

Abstract RU 2351762 C1

FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to mining and oil and gas industry and can be implemented in many branches of industry requiring generating high pressure or directed motion of liquid medium, particularly for drilling bores. The method of cumulating electro-hydraulic impact consists in generation of pulse electric discharge inside liquid between electrodes or through current conducting elements. Pair of electrodes, wherein between the discharge occurs or current conducting elements are located, is installed at an angle to each other or to the surface or surfaces forming free interior space. The device for electro-hydraulic drilling includes a cutter with at least one cavity on ends of which pairs of electrodes are arranged forming free internal space.

EFFECT: facilitating concentration of energy of electro-hydraulic impact, direction and enhancement of pressure value and also cumulating of power of electro-hydraulic impact at small area in well bottomhole.
