FIELD: electrics.

SUBSTANCE: converter of single-phase alternate voltage to direct voltage includes alternate current buses, conversion transformer with primary winding, core and secondary winding, rectification circuit and direct current buses. Primary winding includes first and second sections placed at 90° angle, with first section connected parallel directly by alternate current buses and second section connected by condenser. Magnetic conductor is made in the form of electrical machine with first core assembled of electrotechnical steel sheets with grooves holding primary winding and coaxial second core assembled of the same steel with grooves holding multiphase secondary winding. Rectification circuit includes n bridge single-phase rectifiers, each rectifier connected to respective phase of secondary winding, and primary winding performs forming function and blocks higher harmonics of alternate current bus voltage. Effect is achieved due to circular rotating magnetic field effect and conversion transformer construction.
