FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and may be used in converting engineering. Converter transformer includes primary three-phase winding connected to the mains, composite iron circuit containing external core represented with hollow cylinder and coaxial internal core in the shape of cylinder with grooves and secondary three-phase winding connected to the consumers. The primary winding is even and similar to a.c. electric machine windings and put into internal core grooves. The secondary three-phase winding is uneven and according to the rule, geometrical point of electromotive force vector ends of each coil group is in the shape of oval. Winding factor by the first harmonics at any number of windings in phase is higher than the winding factor of sine windings. The external core grooves are shifted along the circle by one tooth graduation with regard to the internal core grooves. It contributes in extra improvement of output voltage shape due to the quenching of a number of undesirable high harmonics.

EFFECT: increasing transformer efficiency factor operating in three-phase three-wire networks.
