FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: described is method of obtaining nickel Raney catalysts according to which melt of alloy, containing from 40 to 95 wt % of aluminium, from 5 to 50 wt % of nickel, as well as from 0 to 20 wt % of iron, from 0 to 15 wt % of cerium, cerium misch metal, vanadium, niobium, tantalum, chrome, molybdenum and/or manganese, as well as, if necessary, other glass-forming elements, is subjected to contact with one or several rotating cooling rollers or cooling discs, after which melt is allowed to cool and harden, surface of cooling rollers being structured with transversal grooves, and surface of cooling discs being structured with grooves, directed from rotation axis to edge; then quickly hardened alloy is subjected to processing with organic or inorganic bases. Described are nickel Raney catalysts, obtained by said method, their application and method of aromatic nitrocompounds hydration with their use.
EFFECT: increase of catalyst selectivity and its service life.
