FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to power engineering and can be used for recycling heat of exhaust combustion gases from fuel combustion installations. According to the invention the tubular air heater with intersecting movement of exhaust gases and air has sections of heating surfaces, connected in series on a warming and heating medium. Separate sections are made from cubes. The cross sectional area of the tubular heating surfaces of cubes alternates, with the condition of providing for no condensation of moisture from exhaust gases on the walls of the tubes.
EFFECT: provision for heating cold atmospheric air directly in the air heater without pre-heating.
