FIELD: physics, measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to metering technology and may be used in car industry to determine deviations from flatness and horizontality in surfaces of platforms intended for inspection of vehicle technical condition. Invention objective is provision of valid results in performance of calibration of above mentioned platform surfaces. Method of calibration consists in making of calibrated platform plan with specification of longitudinal and cross sections, crossings of which are used to set inspected points of platform surface, in platform marking according to plan and in measurement of inspected points heights differences. When measuring inspected points heights difference, the first pair of horizontal light beams is formed in plane of another longitudinal section of calibrated platform surface, which is oriented parallel to cross sections of calibrated platform, light beam is reflected along another longitudinal section of platform, tripod with retroreflector is serially installed onto inspected points of another longitudinal section, and the tripod is fixed with provision of spatial orientation preservation in case of tripod angular shifts, retroreflector is used to form the second pair of horizontal light beams, angular displacement of tripod around vertical axis is used to combine the second pair of light beams with the plane of another longitudinal section, the first pair of light beams is displaced in vertical direction until it is combined with the second pair of light beams. Value of displacement is used to decide on height of another inspected point relative to previous inspected point of calibrated platform surface.
EFFECT: provision of valid results in performance of calibration of above mentioned platform surfaces.
