FIELD: physics, measurement.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to measuring technology and may be used in car industry for calibration of working stands in adjustment test benches, in particular, for adjustment of vehicle external lights. Invention objective is higher accuracy of vehicle external lights adjustment. Stated objective is solved by the fact that in method for calibration of working stand of vehicle lights adjustment test bench, working stand layout includes conventional image of vehicle, trace of crossing with plane of light optical centers placement and trace of crossing with plane of adjustment screen placement. Vehicle is placed on working stand, vertical straight line is set, which passes through disc center of the right or left front wheel of vehicle, distance is calculated from crossing of preset straight line with working stand to the plane of light optical centers placement, and the first and second lines are applied on the surface of working stand, coherent light beam is serially formed, oriented along parallel straight line that connects center of accordingly disc of the right and left back wheels to center of discs of the right and left front wheels of vehicle, height is measured from zone of installation of metering facility base in front of lights, and the metering facility is used in performance of vehicle external lights adjustment, to light beam, heights are serially measured from zone of mentioned metering facility base installation in front of adjustment screen for the right and left light to light beam, and difference of measured heights is used to determine value of systematic error in process of adjustment of the left and right lights.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of adjustment of vehicle external lights.
