FIELD: physics, measurement.
SUBSTANCE: application: for diagnostics of structures and parts damage. Substance: consists in the fact that acoustic emission (AE) signals are generated and registered, time delays are measured for signals arrival to three receivers installed in tops of equilateral triangle, and having acoustic contact with structure (part), afterwards, based on measured delays of acoustic emission (AE) signals arrival, area of possible location of structure (part) damage is defined.
EFFECT: increased accuracy and efficiency of structures and parts damage location determination in process of manufacturing and operation.
