FIELD: physics, measurement.
SUBSTANCE: method of seismic prospecting and unit consisting of continuously registering autonomous wireless seismometric units or containers. Autonomous unit may include inclinometer, compass and watch platform, which is mechanically suspended in gimbal mount. After return to initial condition seismic data registered by unit may be extracted, and unit may be charged, checked, repeatedly synchronised, and its operation may be repeatedly started without necessity of unit body opening. Unit may contains additional geophone to realise mechanical vibration of unit, in order to measure connection between unit and soil. In unit it is possible to make correction of seismic data depending on effect of quartz ageing that takes place in watch. Place of unit development may be defined by means of tracking of linear and angular acceleration, starting from initial position. In order to obtain excess of seismic activity measurement in defined plane, it is possible to use several geophones in unit oriented at an angle to each other.
EFFECT: present invention can be used in autonomous ground or marine seismic prospecting.
