SUBSTANCE: invention is related to computer engineering and may be used for correction of chromatic aberration of optical subsystems of technical vision systems used for monitoring of automated processes. Technical result is achieved by the fact that method for correction of chromatic aberration includes image input into computer, determination of actual positions of R and B points of image colour channels according to formula where x, y are coordinates of image point, x'R, y'R x'B, y'B are coordinates of actual positions of R and B points of image colour channels, r is radial distance to image point, r'R, r'B are radial distances to actual positions of R and B points in image colour channels, cB(1), cB(2),…,cB(n), cR(1), cR(2),…,cR(n) are coefficients of chromatic aberration correction, installation of calibration object in the field of camera vision, separation of its contours and binarisation, determination of calibration points, definition of chromatic aberration correction coefficients, definition of brightness values in actual positions of R and B points of colour channels by values of adjacent points.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of optical subsystem chromatic aberration correction.
