FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to antenna engineering and, particularly, to double-mirror antennas with funnel-shaped direction diagram and may be used in communication engineering, especially in space ships to communicate with the Earth. Antenna contains cone-shaped mirror with dissipative effect. The dielectric hollow cup with open-end holes is used as a connecting link between two mirrors. There are also mirror-based counter-reflector with alternating teeth, grooves and open-end dumbbell-like slots inside the mirror in the antenna. The counter-reflector is irradiated by the open end of round waveguide with ellipse polarisation wave H 11. The ellipse polarisation is generated due to polariser represented with metal pins inserted into the cavity of round waveguide at a distance λ/4 from each other.
EFFECT: provision of the Earth surface mapping and funnel-shaped even plotting of direction diagram on ground measuring points.
