FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: mechanic activation of beryllium concentrate is carried out after which it is sulphatised with sulphuric acid. Sulphatised concentrate is leached with water, leach pulp is divided into beryllium sulphate solution and cake. Cake is washed with water from beryllium sulphate solution. Beryllium hydroxide is precipitated from beryllium sulphate solution and washing solution, after which beryllium hydroxide is separated. Discharge mother liquor of ammonium sulphate is processed with lime milk in amount of 14÷16 g of calcium oxide per 1 g of beryllium in beryllium hydroxide. Obtained pulp is stood for 75-85 min at 95÷100°C until gypsum pulp separates from ammonium solution and forms. Ammonium is absorbed, partially used for beryllium hydroxide precipitation, gypsum pulp being divided into gypsum and solution.
EFFECT: invention allows regenerating ammonium, returning ammonium solution into technological scheme, reducing reagent consumption and increasing ecological safety of beryllium hydroxide production.
