FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to labyrinth seals of internal combustion engine supercharge turbocompressor rotor, in particular, to methods for prevention of gas leaks through labyrinth seals. Specified technical result is achieved by the fact that compressed air from autonomous power supply source, for instance, in diesel locomotive pneumatic system, is supplied to labyrinth seals in pulses of preset duration, in specified sections of time via controlled pneumatic valve and active ejector nozzle connected to it, and fuel from diesel locomotive fuel system is also sent to passive nozzle of ejector via additional controlled device by short-term pulses.
EFFECT: reduction of compressed air flow from autonomous power supply source for protection of labyrinth seals with simultaneous removal of scale from sections of labyrinth seals by means of automatic supply of high-pressure compressed air pulses or air emulsion of diesel fuel.
