FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention objective is the Earth and other planets imaging with the help of hand photo- and videocameras by crews of manned spacecrafts (SC). Substance of invention consists in measurement of angular speeds of camera turns in process of imaging with the help of detectors unit installed on camera, and calculation of camera space position relative to basic position. Version is considered to calculate basic position by available coordinates of one of images and available position of spacecraft mass centre, as well as version of basic position calculation by available position of mass centre and available orientation of spacecraft.

EFFECT: determination of coordinates in process of shooting by camera that is not rigidly connected to SC structure and freely moves under zero gravity conditions.
