FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to canning industry equipment intended for in-glass-can food sterilisation. The proposed can carrier for steriliser incorporates a chamber made from strip steel with two face and one bottom plates and carrier chamber rotation device. The said chamber is divided into can cells, each with its bottom furnished with a centering tapered device for the cans to be clamped. A grid with a rod is hinged to the said chamber, the rod ends being furnished with rollers. There are yokes with their free ends bent for 90 degrees rigidly attached to aforesaid grid on face sides of the said chamber. The grid hinge allows opening so that the grid forms a 120 degrees angle with the chamber vertical wall. Two pins with thread and gears are rigidly fixed at both faces of the chamber top. Note that one pin features a L.H. thread while the other one has R.H. thread and the said gears can run over the pin thread to either the right or left to form, along with the grid yokes a lock to hold the cans fixed vertically in the chamber cells. The face plates lower parts are furnished with rollers to have the carrier chamber inclined on loading in the cans.
EFFECT: turning cans over from bottom onto cover and increasing reliability of carrier.
