FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal deformation process, particularly to treatment of pulse-impact superficial plastic deformation. For blank and deforming tool it is imposed axial rotation and traverse motion to deforming tool. It is provided additional oscillatory motion across-track direction to deforming tool. Deforming tool allows individual drive and body in the form of ring enveloped blank with deforming elements, located on race, implemented on ring inner surface. Ring is installed in link hung up on hollow sleeve of bearing mount assembly, the latter is located on one end of blacket, and on the different end of blacket it is installed mentioned individual drive, passing rotary motion to the ring with deforming elements. Additionally by means of compression spring, exerting pressure on link, it is created effort for providing of surface plastic deformation.

EFFECT: as a result there are extended manufacturing capability, it is provided ability to manage hardened case depth, degree of strengthening and surface microrelief.
