FIELD: railway transport.

SUBSTANCE: proposed platform car comprises a frame arranged on the bogie. Frame end beams (9) accommodate flat bases (10) extending horizontally beyond the frame limits. Extending parts (11) support rigidly fixed face walls (12) with flat lateral stiffeners (13) whereto cross stays are welded. The joints between the said cross stays and the frame are reinforced in lengthwise and vertical directions. The face walls represent a grid made up of rigidly interjointed vertical and horizontal beams. From below the face walls are furnished with reinforcing members (27) arranged below the extreme beams. The side posts have reinforcing members supporting ladder steps and vertical ribs with lateral reinforcements. The frame side beams accommodate rigidly fixed wooden pillar barrel-type seats arranged in pairs. The rolled sheet metal fastening rings are arranged between aforesaid seats. The protect carried cargoes against an ingress of dirt from below, the frame top surface accommodates rolled-sheet casing.

EFFECT: higher strength of side posts and face walls and that of their joints to platform car frame.
