INERTIA TRANSMISSION Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC F16H33/16 F16H47/12

Abstract RU 2354873 C1

FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: inertia transmission consists of case (1), of driving shaft (5), whereon driving gear (20) is secured, of an inertia mechanism kinematically connected with driven shaft (6).The inertia mechanism is made in form of two identical in design hollow rings of rectangular cross section, which are attached vertically in one plane on driven shaft (6). Lengthwise axes of the rings are parallel to the lengthwise axis of the driven shaft. The centers of the rings circumference and the center of driven shaft rotation are arranged on one line. One of halves (8) of each of the rings is expanded from both end sides so, that the cross section of the expanded half of the ring is several times bigger, than the section of not expanded half (9) of the ring. With their expanded halves both rings are turned into opposite relative to each other side. Pumps (10) are installed inside an expanded part of half rings. The shaft of each pump (10) is parallel to the driven shaft and has gear (19) meshing with driving gear (20) of the driving shaft. Interior cavities of the rings are filled with mercury or with fluid of big specific weight.

EFFECT: increased efficiency and power on driven shaft.
