FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to carbon-base material production facilities, namely to muffle electric furnaces, and can be used for carbon-containing materials graphitation. A high-temperature through-type electric furnace for carbon fiber graphitation comprises a metal casing, a heater with current leads inside the muffle and heat insulation outside the muffle. The furnace casing is cylindrical. The heater is set in the muffle so that one its end rests on a support - conical or cylindrical one, and the other end on the current lead side - on elastic seals. The inner muffle surfaces are lined with graphite foil reflecting the heat flow of the heater inwards. An input and an output channels for the processed material passing are attached to the muffle and can be moved freely in the longitudinal direction. An opening for the heater mounting and demounting is made as a window on the side surface of the casing. The movable heater support can be spherical or conical. The electric furnace is equipped by an unwinding device on the input channel side and by a winding device on the output channel side. There is also a transportation device to pull the processed material through the operating slit. The heater is designed so that its heating surfaces are placed above and under the processed material. The window is fitted with a water-cooled removable cover. There is a furnace temperature control device and gas dampers to prevent oxygen from entering the furnace operating space.
EFFECT: increasing the electric furnace maintainability and increasing its productivity and service life.
