FIELD: furnaces.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely, to electrothermal apparatus with inductive load; in particular, invention can be used in pass-through induction furnaces for indirect high-temperature heating of various materials. Induction furnace comprises a body accommodating a graphite crucible surrounded with a low-density carbon material, surrounded, in turn, with a ceramic shell; an inductor is located around the shell, the crucible is made in the form of a flattened ring with the horizontal part thereof positioned parallel to the plane of the processed material; as well as magnetic cores on the outside of the inductor. Introduced into the furnace is a welded frame made in the form of two half-rings positioned around the inductor and secured on a damper plate, wherein the magnetic cores are made in a U-shape and are rigidly fixed on the welded frame.
EFFECT: possibility of optimising the furnace structure in order to increase the reliability and productivity thereof during operation at high temperatures of 2,500...3,300 °C.
